Life in fast lane

Come this winter and suddenly you feel an urge to just laze around in the sun.Crushing and blowing the maroon coating of peanuts in the air, tossing the kernels in mouth sitting in the park and just collecting the heap of the husk nearby.Just siiting on the boundary wall of my college, spent a good number of years watching the cricket match.Pullower on the back criss crossed, sitting idly counting the runns for local team when singles were converted to two runs and many singles added which no one could guess the number of runs cheated. This was carried on till even after starting my professional career. Now when engrossed and into the helm of affairs you realise what were those days. Those days an egg parantha and coke for ten rupees could fill your hunger and quench the thirst. The friday matinee show with bunch of regular friends was an affair which we waited week after week.Life could have never be better than this.Oh what were those days.Today I am passing thru the same ground.Only diffrence is that I am not counting the runs am counting the minutes and looking at my watch desperately when will this journey end so as to reach the office at scheduled time and give the presentaion to the visiting delegates on new project. This driver is too slow to decipher the fast lanes on the road.Better I take the control of steering to reach office hastily.
